Pepin Distributing Company and Swamp Head Brewery Team up to Clean Tampa Bay Waterway
The 2018 Florida Trash Tour with Coastal Conservation Association
Tampa, Florida – On Saturday, July 21st, Pepin Distributing Company, Swamp Head Brewery and the Coastal Conservation Association Florida are teaming up to bring you the second annual Florida Trash Tour. Coastal Conservation Association Florida is a statewide, non-profit marine organization working in an advocacy role to protect the state’s marine resources and interests of saltwater anglers. Marine debris poses a threat to people, kills marine life, causes wildlife entanglement and ingestion, causes economic losses, reduces navigational safety, and damages habitats along our fragile coastlines.
This clean-up effort combines both Swamp Head Brewery and Pepin Distributing’s commitment to our community and environment. “This is one of many environmental clean-up efforts we have been a part of in the past few decades, and could not be more proud to partner up with Swamp Head out of Gainesville and Coastal Conservation to clean up our waterways this Saturday,” said Bill Gieseking, Director of Marketing, Pepin Distributing.
The expected turnout for the E.G. Simmons Regional Park waterway at 2401 19th Ave NW, Ruskin, Florida 33570 is 100-150 people. The event will start at 8 am and end at 3 pm this Saturday. There is no entry fee or other costs associated with registering for the Trash Tour and volunteers can gather trash on foot or by boat. Participants are encouraged, but not required to, pre-register at http://trashtourfl.com/portfolio/tampa/ and each participant in the Trash Tour will walk away with goodies.
