Directors of the company serve on numerous boards of directors throughout the community including but not limited to: Pepin Heart Hospital, Make a Wish, Tampa Sports Commission, Visit Tampa Bay, Take Stock in Children, The University of Tampa, American Heart Association, various chamber of commerce’s, Tampa Bay Partnership, Boys and Girls Club, Hillsborough Education Foundation, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Hillsborough Anti Drug and Alcohol Coalition, Tampa Alcohol Coalition, DACCO, just to name a few.

The Pepin family has provided support in numerous ways by making family contributions to community institutions such as The Pepin Heart Hospital at UCH which is the southeast’s only all digital heart hospital, Pepin Stadium at the University of Tampa, The Pepin Academy which is a school for teenagers with learning disabilities, The Florida Aquarium, and the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts.

The company has been built on one simple philosophy, “Making Friends is Our Business.” It has been the guiding principal that has led the company to becoming a leader in the beverage business and a leader in the community.

In addition to our extensive community support and involvement, Pepin Distributing Company has several programs to fight against alcohol abuse. Our mission of “we market our brands to be enjoyed by adults responsibly” aligns Pepin to create and promote several programs that help the fight against alcohol abuse. The Pepin Family of Employees are strictly opposed to drunk driving, underage drinking and the abuse of our products. Our annual budget of $100,000 since 1982 has made Pepin Distributing Company an industry leader and truly a part of the solution to alcohol issues. Our support reaches law enforcement agencies, college students, health centers, DACCO, The Tampa Alcohol Coalition, civic groups and other agencies. Programs such as Alert Cab, Zingo, Designate a Driver, Safe Boating, TIPS alcohol training, Family Talk, Prevent Don’t Provide and other outreach programs has made a difference and has made our community a safer place to live. We have formed many partnerships but a lot of work still needs to be done in the fight against alcohol abuse.
